Welcome to Our School
Welcome to La Petite Academy! We are a nationally accredited educational preschool and child care center tucked away in the quiet residential area of Plantation Lakes Circle in Chesapeake, Virginia. My name is Brittney White, and I am the Director here at La Petite. I have more than seven years of experience in Early Childhood education. I began my journey with La Petite in 2019 and have been with this location as Director since the summer.
Our school offers an engaging, nurturing environment for every child during their most critical early years. We offer full time only programs for Infants, Toddlers and Twos, Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten, and School-Age Before-and-After school servicing Centerville and Tallwood Elementary, Greenbrier Primary and Greenbrier Intermediate Schools.
At La Petite Academy, we strive to mold inquisitive young minds with hands-on STEM learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. In addition to the basic school readiness, we also focus on helping children to be creative!

I have more than seven years of experience in childcare, and I have been loving it since taking at the end of the summer. I look forward to developing a relationship with you and your family to help foster a love of learning in your little one.

Teaching young children has always been my passion. I enjoy seeing their faces light up when they have mastered something they have been taught. I believe in keeping children healthy, safe, and educated. I have been in the Early Childhood Field for over six years, teaching primarily toddlers. I believe a partnership between myself and the families I serve is essential. When working together, we can help the child reach their full potential and be the best version of themselves.

I was a personal nanny for two years. I've been with Learning Care Group since 2021. My mission is to create an educational environment where children can explore their creativity and nurture social development skills while having fun in a small group of their peers. I strive to provide a safe learning space where every child feels valued and respected as an individual. I can't wait to help your child grow!
