Welcome to Our School
Welcome to our wonderful La Petite Academy educational preschool in Omaha, NE! My name is Melissa and I have been a member of the La Petite family since 1997. I have more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education. Our center is NECPA-Accredited for more than 10 years. We are close to the interstate and the Millard and Ralston school districts. We service the Millard, Ralston, La Vista, Papillion and Omaha areas. We offer programs for Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers, as well as Before and After-School care, and summer camp for School-Agers.
We have long-term staff members and all of our lead teachers have their CDA Credential or are in the process of obtaining their CDA. We strive to make sure our center is a safe and happy place for all children. We provide structure and consistency for the emotional, educational, and physical well-being of every child.

As a director, my focus is to deliver the best educational program for each child. I believe my role as an early childhood educator is an important one and work to ensure each family and child feels a sense of community and has a wonderful experience in our care.

As the program assistant director, I get to help all of my teachers implement a super fun learning environment. Our classrooms are set up to help every child thrive and develop skills for life. Our curriculum is assessment based! Children learn through play and I enjoy watching their eyes light up when they learn something new. I make it my mission to make sure the teachers we have are nurturing, safe, engaging, intentional, loving, caring and qualified/certified.
