Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy in Charleston, SC!

Whether it's providing loving care for Infants, participating in activities in our Preschool programs, or prepping tomorrow's leaders through one of our other age-specific options, I love getting to watch so many little ones learn and grow!

We are excited to offer new technology in our School-Age classroom. These enhancements include iPads featuring apps to create art, music and videos, tripods for moviemaking, robots for coding, a new gaming system and more!

My staff and I are committed to the highest standards of excellence when it comes to care and education in a secure environment. Staff members participate in training throughout the year to stay current in the field of early childhood education. I have an open-door policy and encourage active involvement in all of our events so that families feel comfortable and secure.

Shannon Grant, Director

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and Masters in Business Management

Certifications: CPR and First Aid

Hello, I am Shannon Grant and I am the director of La Petite Academy here in Charleston. Before moving into this position, I taught in the public school system and worked for the Department of Social Services. I have over 15 years of experience in working with children and families. I am happily married for over six wonderful years and have a beautiful daughter who keeps me very busy! My sole purpose is to create a nurturing and safe learning environment for all children that attend my school!

Hi! I'm Mrs. Rebecca, the Assistant Director. My husband, daughter, two fur babies, and I live here on James Island. I love working where I live! I previously taught in the public school system in grades CD - 2nd grade. I have a passion for early literacy, so I love to see the children here create a love for literacy as well!
