Welcome to La Petite Academy in Cedar Rapids, IA! We offer your child a bright beginning! We are excited to show you all that we have to offer!
As a leader in early childhood education and care, La Petite Academy has developed a unique set of curricula for Infants all the way up to Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten students. These curricula help children to develop critical thinking skills and intellectual curiosity for success in their academic and personal lives. We are passionate about educating the next generation, and hold academic learning hand-in-hand with social-emotional learning. This way, our students are well prepared for their K-12 career (and beyond)!
Our school participates in the Iowa Quality Rating System to demonstrate our commitment to child development. We serve children ages six weeks to 12 years old.
Our teachers have a multitude of combined education and experience in the field and participate in training throughout the year to continue developing themselves to provide the highest quality of care a child can receive. We have several teachers with us for over 15 years and several more with their credentials and associate's degrees in early childhood education.

My name is Ravyn! I have been in child care for over 10 years. I have worked my way up from the classroom to administration. I have worked with all ages and specialize in infant and toddler care. I love watching kids learn new skills and grow throughout their years with us! As the Director, I make myself present in each of the classrooms, getting familiar with all of our staff, students, and families. Looking forward to meeting you and your family and helping your children grow in our care!

Hello! My name is Cassandra Underwood, and I am the Assistant Director here at La Petite Academy. I have been in the childcare field for almost 8 years now; making my way from Middle School classrooms to Preschool classrooms, and now finally landing in an administration position. I thoroughly enjoy helping children learn and become the best members of their classrooms that they can be, as these kids are our next generation of leaders in our society.
