Discover Our Montessori Classroom
In this classroom, your child will make discoveries and think independently, as we prepare them for the future. The authentic Montessori curriculum enables children to learn in their own way, at their own pace, through the practical application of sensory-based and self-directed activities. Our certified Montessori teacher spends significant time with each child, helping them discover unique talents and interests. Plus, a full complement of Montessori equipment offers tangible, hands-on learning opportunities to develop children’s skills and senses.
This mixed-aged classroom (for 3- to 6-year-olds) also helps children to develop social skills and challenges them to learn to work together—while being mindful of the best interests of others.

Hi! I'm the director here at the La Petite in Bloomington! I began my career here in 2014 as a lead teacher and became director in 2021. I've always had a passion for working with children. During my time at La Petite, I have worked with all age groups, from Infants to School-Age. I love working closely with the children and families to create a meaningful early learning experience! My child is also enrolled here and loves to learn and grow with her friends and teachers!

I am the Lead Teacher in the Twos classroom, Team Lead, and have an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education. I am CPR/First Aid/AED and food handler certified. I have worked in the childcare field for over 20 years. I have two children, one girl that will be heading to Olivet Nazarene College this fall, and a young man that works as a tech for Safelite. I have two cats and one guinea pig at my house and when I am not at work I help out with the youth at a local church in town.
