Welcome to Our School

Welcome to La Petite Academy educational child care in Frederick, MD! My name is Danielle and I am the Academy Director. I have an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development as well as over 20 years of experience in the early childhood education field.

Drawing from my background, I can truly say we offer the best Infant Care and Preschool in Frederick County. We follow a STEM approach which incorporates various technologies from our Preschool through our School-Age programs. If you're looking for School-Age care, we also service most of the area's elementary schools.

Danielle Robinson, Director

Education: A.A. in Early Childhood Development

Certifications: 90 - Hour Infant/Toddler, 90 - Hour Preschool, 90 - Hour School Age, CPR and First Aid, Medication Administration and Emergency Preparedness

I love being a part of children's growth and development. In my role as Director, I take pride in partnering with our families to provide each child with the best opportunities to grow and develop, creating a lifelong love of learning.

Marian Thornton, Assistant Director

Education: A.A. in Early Childhood Education

Certifications: CPR, AED, and First Aid, CDA in Infants and Toddlers, and SIDS Certification

I have worked with children in an educational capacity for eight years now and it is my passion to ensure that all children feel safe and have the opportunity to learn and thrive. I adore being able to make an impact as we are all shaping the future generation! Outside of work, I am working on furthering my education and spending any and all extra time with my family!
