Welcome to Our School

Greetings and welcome to La Petite Academy on Fourier Drive. We strive to provide a warm, loving, and engaging learning environment to all the children and families we serve here. Our play based, language rich curriculum focuses on hands on learning opportunities that encourage independence. We offer care for ages 6 weeks through 12 years, all taught by caring and energetic teachers with many years of experience. They are truly experts in their field!

We are in a great location to serve Middleton and the west side of Madison. Our beautiful grounds are equipped with three outdoor play areas, a large indoor playground, and eight spacious classrooms. We are located on beautiful land and our space helps to support our GrowFit curriculum that promotes active and healthy children. The Growfit curriculum also includes a well-rounded menu serving fresh fruits and vegetables every day.

Miranda Starr, Director

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education - Millikin, University

Certifications: Tiered 3 Certified Trainer for the State of Wisconsin, First Aid/CPR, Healthy and Safety Training

My name is Miranda Starr. I am honored to be the Academy Director here at Fourier Drive. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Millikin University and have spent the last 20 years teaching and leading teams of teachers. I am also a tiered 3 certified trainer for the state of Wisconsin. I believe in the power of education, and I am passionate about creating loving and nurturing learning environments for all kids to learn.

Emily Carden, Assistant Director

Education: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from North Central Technical College

Certifications: CPR/First Aid, Bus Driver Certified, Infant/Toddler Certifications, SIDS and Shaken Baby Training

I have been with La Petite since 2008, but my knowledge in child care dates back to 2004. I can't wait for you to join our amazing school!
