Welcome to La Petite Academy in Rockledge!

We're confident we offer the best daycare experience because of our dedicated staff. Our teachers are truly connected to each and every child, and they build long-lasting relationships with our families. Our staff participate in training throughout the year to stay current in the field of early childhood education and dedicate themselves to staying current in best practices to best serve our students.

We treat the children and parents as members of our extended family. We pride ourselves on communication by always being available for feedback, conducting parent/teacher conferences twice a year, and holding quarterly events. We support our breastfeeding families by providing a private lactation area with resources available. We also support families by accepting contracts through the Early Learning Coalition of Brevard and Child Care Aware.

Give Your Child a Great Start With VPK

Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) is a free daily, 4-hour program that includes breakfast and lunch, with the option of extended wrap care. I'm a devoted educator who enjoys working with children, especially when I can watch them grow from an infant to a school-aged child. I've been with La Petite Academy since 2011 and I’m excited to continue to enrich the lives of children.

Jaimie Benson, Assistant Director

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Concentration in Special Education

Certifications: Director's Credential; Staff Credential; First Aid/CPR

I began my teaching path in 2013, and have been growing ever since. After receiving my bachelor's degree in Pennsylvania, I made the trip down south looking for a new home. I was fortunate enough to be welcomed into La Petite with open arms in 2019. My goal is to instill the love of lifelong learning in all the children I care for.

When I moved across the big pond in 2008, I began my educational journey that would lead me to where I am at today! Since then, I have taught at a few different schools in Florida and have enjoyed watching all my students grow and learn. When I'm not at work, I enjoy gardening and visiting family in England.
