Welcome to Our School
Welcome to our La Petite Academy educational daycare in Round Lake Beach, IL. My name is Tera and I am the center director. I have an associate's degree with a focus on early childhood and have been working in the industry for 20 years.
At La Petite, our Infant Care and Preschool programs provide the perfect foundation for learning and development. The loving teachers at our academy have more than 160 years of combined experience in early education. We value the relationships we build with all our families here in Round Lake Beach, and to help each child develop a love for learning, we partner closely with our families to ensure each child's individual needs are met.

My career at La Petite Academy began in 2005 as the School-Age teacher. Over the years, I have had the privilege of stepping into each of the management roles. In 2016, I became the center director and now am truly honored to impact not only the lives of the families and children that we serve, but the amazing teachers that make a difference every single day! I strive to cultivate a positive, family atmosphere where we foster a sense of community and a love for learning.

I began at La Petite Academy in 2017 as the Twos Lead Teacher. Over the last few years I was given the opportunity to grow with the company becoming the Safety Captain and Team Lead. I am honored to be the Assistant Director of such an amazing school. I look forward to making a difference in each families lives through community, learning and love.

I started at La Petite Academy in 2016 as a Floater. After a few months I was given the opportunity to be the Lead Teacher in the Toddler room. In my years working for the company I've been able to grow with the company obtaining the Master Teacher certification, Safety Captain and Team Lead. I love to make a difference in each child and their families through love and learning experiences.
