Welcome! My name is Kenyata Allison and I am the director at this Lapetite Academy daycare in Shelby, NC. I have more than 20 years of experience in early childhood education. I began my journey with Lapetite Academy as an early preschool teacher in 2003 and I accepted the director position in October of 2023.

Our school includes Infant Care, Toddler, Twos, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre K, and Before-and After School Care for school-age and children. In our programs we follow a STEM approach, providing hands-on learning experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. We are nationally accredited by the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation.

We welcome parents to come in and spend time with their children and we have an open-door policy for currently enrolled families. Our entire staff has first aid and CPR and training as well as 45 hour-mandated state training. All staff members attend monthly training sessions on a variety topics.
