Welcome to La Petite Academy of Winston-Salem! My name is Sharandica Midcalf but you can call me Ms. Shaè! I am the center director of this cozy, safe, welcoming and engaging facility. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Birth through Kindergarten Education with a concentration in Early Intervention from The Illustrious Winston-Salem State University with Cum Laude Honors. I have been teaching/ mentoring in Early Childhood Education for ten years.

Here at La Petite Academy, we offer safe, quality child care services for children age six weeks to 12 years old. Our programs include Infant/Toddler care, Two's, Preschool, Pre-K, School-Age Before- and After-School as well as our awesome and amazing summer programs.

Here at La Petite, we value and encourage the fostering of home/school partnerships. We understand children are much more successful academically when there is a positive fostering of home and school connections. We conduct Parent-Teacher Conferences twice each year to share your child's learning, growth and success!

The staff here at La Petite strives to exceed the educational standards set by North Carolina. Many of our teachers hold degrees in the early childhood education field or are in the process of obtaining degrees in the field. Learning care Group encourages continued education and provides ongoing training to all employed staff.
