Families in Chesterton have turned to La Petite Academy of Chesterton since March 2006 for child care and early education. Our daycare and preschool is near Strack & Van Til, Bailly Elementary School, and New Life Wesleyan Church. We are accredited by NECPA. Our team's credentials include CPR and First Aid certifications. We serve families from Valparaiso.
Our school's programs are Infants, Toddlers, Twos, Early Preschool, Preschool, Pre-K, and Junior Kindergarten, for ages 6 weeks to 5 years. We work with third-party tuition assistance; our team can answer questions on tour. Learn from the Start® builds infant learning through loving relationships, and Learn as We Grow® for Toddlers through Pre-K keeps learning playful and age-appropriate, like Pre-K children creating and racing wind-powered machines.
Children can try Spotlight on Phonics, which builds foundational skills in early literacy, or Soccer, which brings friends together to learn soccer and teamwork. See the whole list on this page. We are overall very happy here. Our child does well and we love that we can see her on the cameras. My favorite part of her days is honestly seeing her sit at the table and be patient with all her friends at snack and meal times. She already says more words than when we started and we have only been in school 2 months.
